If there were any doubts about Larry Woods Ability to get the job done they all were put to rest yesterday as Larry fought through a tough field of Outlaw 10.5 competitors to Claim the 9th Annual Shakedown E’town Outlaw 10.5 Title ! Larry was dead on all weekend and def had the car to beat. We all know Larry and his team are a threat to win anytime they show up to a race. Larry Kept the money in the North and that was great.

A big CONGRATS to Mike Castellana and the whole Western Beef / Al-Anabi Racing team for winning the 9th Annual Shakedown E’town Pro Nitrous Class Title. Mike was #1 qualifier, set low ET of event and also set a new Pro Nitrous 1/4 mile Speed record en route to first major win at E’town. Mike faced stiff competition but held on to win it all in thrilling fashion. With E’town being Mike’s home track the fans were thrilled to see Mike get the WIN ! Mike was quick to credit Shannon Jenkins and his entire Team for supplying him with a great running car.

Jose Gonzalez sent his Florida based team to Shakedown for one reason: To bring home the WIN. We all plan on winning but for most things don’t work out that way. Not in this case as Jose Gonzalez took his Twin Turbo Pro Line Powered / Petty Tuned GTO to the winners circle at the 9th Annual Shakedown E’town event. Jose saved his best for the final round ripping off a 5.93 @ 252 mph beast of a pass giving him and his team the Win Light. Concrats to Jose and the entire “El General” Team ! It should also be noted that Jose has become the first Latin American Drag Racer to run a 5 second pass and one of only 10 people to run 250 mph in a 1/4 mile drag race…very impressive considering Jose is New to Turbo power.
The 2012 10th Annual Shakedown E’town race date shall be Oct 12-14, 2012 !!

It’s race day here at the 9th annual Shakedown at E’Town, and that means it’s time to start working our way toward crowning some champions. Before eliminations get underway, we’ve got one final session of qualifying for the X275 and 8.50 Index racers before we kick off both the 32 and 16-car fields. As per the local curfew, the call will be made to fire the engines and conclude qualifying at 10 AM sharp.
